Cotswold Exploring is a subsidiary of Explore Oxford Tours, founded in 2005 by Blue Badge guide Isobel Lewis.
While Explore Oxford Tours specialized in tailor-made walking tours of Oxford, Cotswold Exploring ventures further afield, delving into the glorious countryside that stands north and west of the Dreaming Spires, the towns and villages of the famous Cotswolds.
Cotswold Exploring offer different types of Tours and Each tour description page has an Availability tab on their website where you can select your preferred date, and complete your booking.

Cotswold Exploring Tours Service Line
They offers a regular schedule of sightseeing tours each week, introducing small groups of visitors to the delights of the Cotswolds.
These depart either from The Visitor Information Centre in Broad Street, Oxford or from The Market Place in Woodstock.
All the guides who work for Explore Oxford Tours and Cotswold Exploring are professional Blue and Green Badge guides, accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding in London.
Their guides specialise in a variety of areas of interest and can deliver tours in many different languages, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Mandarin and Japanese.
Cotswold Exploring Available Tours
Cotswold Explorer
A full day tour taking in many of the key sights of the central Cotswold area, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-onb-the-Wold and Chipping Campden, with time to pause and explore as well as capture the essence of the Cotswolds.
Cotswold Adventurer
A full-day tour that takes us a little further afield within the Cotswold region, to include visits to Sudeley or Cheltenham, Bampton, Lechlade and Kelmscott.
Cotswold Exploring Taster
This Sunday tour offers a half-day introduction for those with just a few hours to sprare, traveling through some glorious countryside and a succession of delightful Cotswold villages.
The timing and exact route for each varies slightly through the seasons, with their Spring/Summer programme running from April through to the end of October, and then Autumn/Winter from late October through to March. Please bear this in mind when planning your visit.
In addition, during the Spring/Summer period, They offer two additional tours as described below:
Cotswold Rover
Like their Taster Tour, this is a half-day introduction to the Cotswolds, which heads off from Oxford on Saturday afternoons between June and September. Included are visits to Bampton, Bibury, the stunning stone villages of the Coln and Sherborne valleys, and Burford.
Cotswold Exploring & Shakespeare Country
This Wednesday tour combines the stunning natural scenery of the north Cotswolds with a guided exploration of Stratford-upon-Avon.
From time to time they also introduce one off and specialist themed tours, typically during the summer months.
Notes: In the rare event that one of their scheduled tours has had no bookings three hours prior to the due time for departure, the tour will be cancelled. Almost all their tours will operate with a minimum of two passengers.

Cotswold Exploring Walking Tours of Oxford
In addition to their bespoke guided tours of Oxford, on foot, for private parties and groups through their associate company, Explore Oxford Tours.
They are also able to offer daily walking tours of the historic university city.
These are the perfect way to see Oxford if you’re not a member of a large group, and just want to pay per person.
